Mike Akerson- “Champions prepare for game day and for life.”Over the last decade, Mike has trained thousands of athletes from kids to professional athletes in the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL.His personal mission is to coach character as intensely as he coaches athletic development.Mike’s proudest accomplishment is his marriage to wife, Shannon and their two daughters, Ellie & Abbie.
Phil Tinder- “A principled and purpose-driven life creates excellence in all areas.”For over 10 years, Phil has been coaching and training athletes in all areas of life, young and old.He co-founded one of the only privately owned personal training/physical therapy companies in Central Florida.Phil’s professional baseball background also helps him bring real world application to his work.Phil and his wife live in Winter Springs with their four children.
Matt Darby- Degreed from UCLA, Matt is also credentialed by the National Strength & Conditioning Association.Matt’s 6 year NFL career adds valuable experience to our team.Matt’s personal mission is to help others achieve their health & fitness goals.In addition, he provides life-coaching tools to help individuals achieve success in all areas of one’s life. Matt and his wife live in Winter Springs with their two children.
Jennifer McKinney - Degreed from UCF, Jennifer is also board certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association.She combines 10 years of gymnastics as a competitor and coach with the unique ability to evaluate, rehabilitate and train athletes for performance enhancement.Jennifer’s favorite quote is “Enjoy the journey, not just the destination.”
About Our Physical Therapy Staff…
Ed Dullmeyer - Ed has been a Physical Therapist in Central Florida since 1988.His experience includes treating a variety of sports medicine and orthopedic patients.He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.An avid runner, Ed has taken a special interest in training runners, as well as treating their injuries.He has completed over 40 marathons and triathlons, including 2 Ironman triathlons.
Eric Dullmeyer - Eric began his Physical Therapy career in Chicago, Illinois after graduating with a Master's in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. His experience began in the acute care setting at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. After gaining incredible experience at this prestigious hospital, Eric moved his experience into the outpatient setting treating various orthopedic and sports injuries. Like his brother, Eric is an avid runner who has completed 13 marathons and over 20 half marathons.Eric’s passion is to help treat and train other runners to accomplish their own marathon goals.
