University Cheer and Tumble Sports
Instructional Classes
IMPORTANT: Participants must have a medical release form completely filled out and signed by parent or guardian. There will be no exceptions.
Beginning Tumbling
Designed for beginners 3rd grade and up, this class focuses on body awareness, basic tumbling skills like handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, jumping in preparation for Back Handspring I. Once the student has accomplished a perfect round-off with rebound the student may move to a Back Handspring I Class
Elementary Tumbling
2nd Grade and under, working basic tumbling skills such as forward and backward rolls handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, preparing the tumbler for Beginning Tumbling, Youth Back-Handspring I Class or a Back Handspring I Class.
Back Handspring I
Reinforces the basic tumbling skills, teaching drills and techniques for the back handspring. Once the tumbler has achieved the standing back handspring, round-off back handspring, and round-off back handspring series by themselves they move to an Intermediate Tumbling Class.
Youth Back-Handspring I
These classes are the same as Back Handspring I Class, but focus on students 2nd-6th grade.
Intermediate Tumbling
This class reinforces the basic tumbling skills, standing and round-off back handspring, teaching drills and techniques for the back tuck. Once the tumbler acquires the standing back tuck and round-off back handspring - back tuck by themselves they may move to an Advanced Tumbling Class.
Advanced Tumbling
Advanced and elite tumblers will learn the basics for lay-outs, lay-out full twists, front tumbling and specialty tumbling, for example: double fulls, arabians, and other skills.
Co-Ed Stunt Class
Learn partner stunting techniques, cradle skills, toss drills and stunts. Open to both men and women.
Intro to Trampoline
This class open to all ages for those that are interested in more than just floor tumbling. They will learn through progressions the basics of trampoline and air awareness.
Pop Warner/Private Cheer and Tumble Class
